history
Founded by Venivodu Sozivodu shortly before the seventh umbral calamity, the Yilan began in the slums of Ul'dah as a small group of refugees and destitute residents unhappy with their plight and looking to make a positive difference in their community. Their method?Take from the rich and give to the poor.What started as a grassroots movement quickly grew in size and took on a more official tone. A leadership structure was developed and operations expanded from simple thievery to extortion, blackmail, and eventually murder.As the Yilan's collective wealth grew, so did their status. Venivodu Sozivodu could finally stand toe-to-toe with those he hated the most under the guise of being a simple hard-working businessman. He now uses his position to sow chaos among the upper echelons of Ul'dahn society, offering "services" to those with the means to pay for them and using the Yilan to carry them out.

Do they have some particular competition they seek to be rid of? Perhaps a friend has double-crossed them? There is nothing the gang's founder loves more than stoking fires and creating chaos.ㅤKeep your enemies closerㅤ The Yilan always seeks out alliances with other organizations in Ul'dah, as well as individuals who can provide information or services that will benefit their cause. Moreover, there are many individuals who seek to undo them for the good of Ul'dah's future; run-ins with the law are common. If your character has a reason to approach, they have a reason to engage.
